Introducing our summer KAL

Just a wee announcement, for those who may have missed our shop newsletter earlier today, about the KDD summer knitalong! For the next three months, we will be knitting the Tonnach cardigan together.

This lightweight, airy cardigan with its simple zig-zag motif is a classic design that knitters all over the world love making and wearing. It’s a cardigan that genuinely looks great on every body and which really lends itself to creative experiments with colour and palette (as you can see from all the lovely projects that are listed on Ravelry). And the KDD team has knitted up four different colourways to further inspire you.

If you’d like to knit a Tonnach in one of these four colourways, there are kits available in the KDD shop, or, if you prefer to develop your own palette, there are 24 gorgeous shades of Milarrochy Tweed to choose from.

But you don’t have to knit with our yarn to participate in our knitalong: simply put together your own palette using your preferred 4 ply or fingering weight yarn, and head over to the KDD Ravelry group to join the fun! There will be a range of fabulous prizes too – including exclusive subscriptions to our new Autumn / Winter club, and a Milarrochy Tweed Advent Calendar.

Would you like to join us for our summer KAL? All you have to do is:

1. Get a copy of the Tonnach pattern (available from the KDD shop or Ravelry). The PDF has been updated with our new, extended 10-size range together with charts for each of our four colourways. If you’ve previously purchased a copy of the pattern, you’ll receive an automatic update via your Ravelry library.
